Brexit brought great disillusionment

It all sounded kind of great – at least if you believed the promise of British Prime Minister Boris Johnson: Great Britain should become a “free country” after leaving the EU – the “greatest country on earth” with the “most successful economy in Europe”, Johnson celebrated the beginning of a new era. Exactly one year after the final exit from the EU on December 31, 2020, however, the British were very disillusioned.
