REPORT: A rich cultural program on stage, an old Bohemian village, an amusement park, fireworks, stands with all kinds of refreshments and much more, all this promises the twenty-eighth Břevnov illumination. It runs from October 6 to 8 and admission is free. PrahaIN.cz went to the location on Friday.
The basis of every celebration is food and drink. There was plenty of both in Břevnov. We were most interested in the langoustines. They varied in size, but they all looked amazing. Prices ranged up to 120 crowns. It was interesting that the biggest one cost exactly one hundred crowns. But the fries scared us a lot. We have not seen a large cone for 289 crowns yet. Even the half-sized one for 145 crowns seemed expensive to us.
Sausages were available for 130, but also for 150 crowns.
Visitors with children will probably appreciate the merry-go-rounds and similar attractions the most. The Czech Booster Apollo costs 250 crowns, the Extreme attraction costs 150. The Octopus costs 100 and the autodrome costs 120 crowns.
On Saturday morning, the real consecration began.

Village and fireworks
In the stalls you can buy roast ribs, potato pancakes, cheeses, butcher specialties, burgers, shashlik, pancakes and many other snacks and specialties. There will also be mini-brewery stands, mead, wine, burčak and coffee stands. The Břevnov brewery will demonstrate medieval brewing.
Even this year, visitors will not be deprived of an old Bohemian village of various crafts and farmers. There will also be stalls in the village that will demonstrate crafts and children will also be able to try them out and make something.
On Saturday, fireworks are also ready from 19:05.
And what else is important? The premises of the Břevnov monastery, founded by Saint Adalbert, are accessible throughout the liturgy.
