It has been online since Wednesday: the new Loudéac Communauté Bretagne Center (LCBC) site is more elegant and better organized than the previous one, which showed the weight of years. But what has struck Internet users in recent days on social networks is the change in the Facebook and Twitter pages of the community of municipalities, which announce the name Bretagne Center. Some even wondered about a name change for the institution.
“The name of the community of communes remains Loudéac Communauté Bretagne Center. The name change only concerns the marketing aspect: we want to develop a brand for the territory, ”explained Xavier Hamon, president, at a press conference on Tuesday. “For me, my community of municipalities is a marketing product. You have to sell it, you are the VRP of your territory, ”he said.
“Territorial identity”
The result of a study launched in 2018 after the creation of the community of municipalities and validated by elected officials in 2019, this new identity should make it possible to communicate more effectively, in particular to businesses, thanks to its “entrepreneur” section which provides information on methods of helping to set up in the territory. Its white and black logo, made up of an intertwined L, B and C, recalls the colors of the Breton flag. LCBC magazine will also adopt this new identity.
“We want to develop an identity to distinguish ourselves, it was worked on after feedback from around 500 citizens who had participated in the public study. The objectives are economic, for tourist attractiveness, and to attract entrepreneurs to the territory, but also identity, to formalize what constitutes our territorial identity ”, explained Xavier Hamon.
Tourism and public services
The implementation was a little late with the covid, which explains why the project is not completed today. In the future, the terms Bretagne Center “could also be affixed to the names of the municipalities, as is done in Lorient or Quimper,” he underlines.
The “discover” part of this new site, www.bretagnecentre.bzh, is aimed at tourists. For example, it concentrates all the places of accommodation listed with the tourist offices, or even the best destinations for walks, trails or fishing.
The “live” tab is intended for the inhabitants of the territory, by gathering information on all the public services of the municipalities concerned, such as questions of access to culture or mobility. Finally, a “community” section refers to the websites and contact of each LCBC municipality.
