Landry Leonard, vice president of Smet 71 (Joint union for studies on the treatment of domestic waste), thus justified the extension of the instructions for separate collection to the delegates of Siced (Inter-municipal union for the collection and disposal of waste), which met in the trade union commission on 20 October. Le Smet, whose objective is the treatment of residual household waste, will be one of the beneficiaries of these new provisions which will enter into force on 1is January 2023.
