Rising Star Queen Sets Sights on ARCA Championship with Pinnacle Racing
Brenden "Butterbean" Queen, a dominant force in Late Model Stock Car racing, is taking his talents to the national stage. The Virginia native has signed with Pinnacle Racing Group to compete for the coveted 2025 ARCA Menards Series championship. Queen’s journey to the ARCA Series marks a significant step in his racing career, fueled by a burning desire to prove himself at the highest level.
"I’m super blessed to have this opportunity ahead to go chase a national championship in the ARCA Menards Series,” Queen said. "PRG has proven they are a contender week-in and week-out and I can’t wait to get to work with the whole organization. I never knew if I’d get the chance to go race at this level, so I’m ready to make the most of it and seize the opportunity. I cannot thank team owner Mark Webb, Shane Huffman, and John Staton of Best Repair Company enough for believing in me and giving me an opportunity to continue to chase my dream.”
Queen’s impressive resume speaks for itself. The 27-year-old driver has already amassed a formidable collection of wins, including three Langley Speedway championships and seven victories in the prestigious CARS Tour over the past three seasons. He’s also conquered some of short track racing’s most grueling events, claiming victories in the Hampton Heat 200, South Carolina 400, Battle of the Stars, the 2023 Thanksgiving Classic, and even at the historic North Wilkesboro Speedway.
His talent hasn’t gone unnoticed by NASCAR teams either. Queen made a splash in the Craftsman Truck Series this year, driving for TRICON Garage in a handful of races. A fourth-place finish at North Wilkesboro, followed by top-20s at Nashville and Kansas, hinted at Queen’s potential to shine on the larger stage.
Now, with Pinnacle Racing Group, Queen joins a team that’s already made a name for itself in the ArCA Menards Series. In 2024, PRG racked up an impressive eight victories in just eighteen starts with drivers Connor Zilisch and Connor Mosack. With veteran crew chief Steven Dawson now leading the charge for Queen’s No. 28 Best Repair Company Chevrolet, the team is primed to build on its success. "I’m so excited to have Brenden paired with Steven Dawson,” said Shane Huffman, PRG’s General Manager. “This will be Steven’s first foray as a crew chief on paper, but his passion and leadership have been instrumental in our success since day one.”
Queen’s first challenge with Pinnacle Racing Group will come at the season-opening race at Daytona International Speedway on February 15th. As Queen embarks on this new chapter in his career, there’s a palpable sense of excitement in the air.
Will Queen be able to translate his Late Model Stock Car dominance into ARCA success? Can he guide Pinnacle Racing Group to another championship-winning season? Only time will tell, but one thing is certain: Brendan "Butterbean" Queen is a driver to watch in 2025.
