Adrian Durham believes that Brendan Rodgers could leave Leicester in the midst of his title charge if Chelsea asks the Foxes boss to replace Frank Lampard.
Rodgers has guided Leicester into the 2020/21 title contest and his team easily beat Lampard’s pricey Blues at King Power on Tuesday night.

There’s no question of Rodgers’ managerial talent
It appears the Foxes will remain at the top end of the table for the long term, but Rodgers’ own plans for the future have been questioned.
As Leicester and Chelsea head in markedly different directions, Durham suggests that Rodgers could jump ship for Stamford Bridge if offered the job this season.
Rodgers left Celtic for Leicester in 2019 as the Scottish giants were on the brink of a historic hat-trick, and there’s a feeling the former Liverpool manager wants another shot at the established big six.
Lampard is under immense pressure at Chelsea, with the club languishing in eighth place, and Rodgers, a former Blues manager, would surely be among the leading candidates for the job if left vacant.

“I’m looking at Brendan Rodgers, and with him coaching there before, he seems like a perfect fit,” Durham said on Drive.
“I’m not the one trying to get Frank Lampard out of a job, but Brendan Rodgers is a perfect fit for Chelsea.
“When you consider that he left Celtic when they were on the verge of a triple-high, he won’t care at all.
“If someone tells you: ‘This is the salary that we will offer you, this is the transfer budget, this is the ambition we have.’
“That’s where Brendan Rodgers wants to be, among the elite. Will you achieve it at a sustainable level in Leicester? Possibly, but less likely.

But fellow talkSPORT host Simon Jordan suggests Leicester and Rodgers aren’t leaving anytime soon.

“Brendan Rodgers is an outstanding coach who learned his trade at Swansea, Liverpool and Celtic.
“He is applying all the experience and education that was already a solid foundation, aside from which nobody gave credibility in 2015/16 and there is a clear possibility that sectors of the media and sectors of the world of football are falling into the same trap again.
“This is a real challenge; Leicester City is one of the sides that you will have to finish up, categorically.
“If you finish above Leicester, you will win the Premier League. But Manchester City is the one that is starting to spin now. “
