Strangers used a green laser beam to blind an Airbus pilot as he approached Bremen airport. The pilot was able to land the plane safely despite being blinded on Wednesday night, police said Thursday. No people were injured.
Strangers used a green laser beam to blind an Airbus pilot as he approached Bremen airport. The pilot was able to land the plane safely despite being blinded on Wednesday night, police said Thursday. No people were injured.
Police are investigating dangerous interference with air traffic. The pilot was able to locate the origin of the light cone from the Kattenturm Heerstraße area. The police are asking anyone who identified the area to come forward. He also claimed that green laser pointers in particular could cause severe damage to the retina in a very short time.
