A successful preparation for the U10 national championships

For the first time this weekend, the youngest members of the Bremen, Lüneburger Heide, Süderelbe and Südheide regions met for a regional comparison tournament, the “U9 Team Cup”, as part of the preparation for the TNB U10 state championship in Celle – Groß Hehlen.

In addition to the singles and doubles, motor skills exercises were also completed and hockey was played, simulating the process of the national championships.

In the first semi-final, the Bremen and Lüneburg Heath regions met. Bremen prevailed here clearly and safely; the Lüneburg Heider children were only able to win the hockey game. In the end it was 47.5:14.5.

The other semi-final between Süderelbe and Südheide was more exciting. Here the Südheide region was just 2 points ahead after the motor skills and the tennis matches. A shaky win in the second half ensured that the Südheider team were able to keep their lead at the finish (32:30).

After lunch we continued with the finals. In the game for third place, the Süderelbe region beat Lüneburg Heath 43:18 and made it onto the podium.

Bremen and Südheide met in the final. Here too, Laura Weber and Oliver Mutert’s protégés left nothing to be desired and won confidently in all three areas. Marlene Havliza, Hanna Meyerdiercks, Valentina Vandersanden and Enie Grabowski as well as Jordi Lucan, Justus Hunke, Samuel Köhler and Leon Killert deservedly took the trophy with them to Bremen.

All participants agreed that this was successful preparation for the U10 national championships taking place in February and spoke out in favor of continuing this newly created tournament next year.

The happy winners from Bremen
