Bremen criticizes police measures in Wolfsburg via Twitter

Bundesliga club Werder Bremen reacted “with a great deal of incomprehension” to the measures taken by the police before the game this Saturday at VfL Wolfsburg. “Although the game was classified as harmless by both clubs in advance, the police are carrying out intensive searches and personal identification,” Werder wrote on Twitter. “Because of the police actions, Werder’s ultra groups decided to return to Bremen.”

On Saturday, the Wolfsburg police referred to the need for searches to avert danger.
