On Thursday morning, several rear-end collisions between the Hartheim/Heitersheim and Bad Krozingen junctions caused traffic jams on the A5, six people were injured.

Several rear-end collisions on Autobahn 5 between the Hartheim/Heitersheim and Bad Krozingen junctions resulted in a traffic jam of up to 18 kilometers on Thursday. At about the height of Hartheim (Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald district), two cars initially collided, the police said. There were three minor injuries.

In the traffic jam that then formed in the direction of Karlsruhe, there were further accidents. Here, too, three people were slightly injured. Since a rescue helicopter was in action, the northbound motorway had to be completely closed for a short time. Finally, there was another rear-end collision, this time without any injuries.
