Bregenz “Festtage” is two thirds full

The eight-day “Festival in the Festspielhaus” of the Bregenz Festival ended on Saturday evening with a standing ovation. The festival reported this in a balance sheet on Sunday. Of the around 5,800 tickets issued, 3,422 were sold, which corresponds to an occupancy rate of around 60 percent. The Covid hygiene concept has proven its worth, it was emphasized.

After the Corona-related cancellation of the traditional Bregenz Festival in May, those responsible wanted to set a “strong artistic signal” with the “Festtage im Festspielhaus”. The highlight of the “Festtage” was the world premiere of the music theater commission “Impresario Dotcom”, even if not even half (46 percent) of the available tickets were sold for the two performances with 601 visitors.
