The idea of ​​the book comes as part of the writer’s efforts to cover the sources that inspired Arab theater, including theater movements and personalities, and he describes the book as “the first attempt research in reading theatrical performance in the Gulf.”
The book is called Brechtian theatre, and it had a strong and significant impact on the “Father of the Arts” movement. and Brecht’s foundations in his famous theory of mass theatre.
The book defines the technique of great theater as a term, coined by the German playwright Bertolt Brecht in 1926, as it combines two literary genres, drama and epic, which created literature theater and narrative in the 1920s, where mass theater is separated. from theatrical concepts that diminish the value of narrative elements on the stage Applying it to live production, even in ancient times tragedy contained narrative elements, such as the chorus that referred to the events.
In addition to these important worlds and themes, the book explores important Arab theater movements and experiences, especially in the Gulf countries, and deals with how artists deal with and monitor the issues of daily reality at all political, cultural, economic and social levels.
