If we are to believe some female influencers on social media, their breasts have increased after being vaccinated with Pfizer’s corona vaccine. But is that really so?

The rumor also came to the ears of Olivia Talar, known for her participation in the MTV program ‘Ex on the beach’. The blonde turned to her Instagram followers: “I heard your cup size can increase by up to two sizes after the Pfizer vaccine. Then I had a slight breakdown. Is there anyone who knows more about this? I hope this is a joke because I have an appointment for Pfizer.”

Immediately she received a series of messages in which one woman confirmed the rumor and the other debunked it. Epidemiologist Pierre Van Damme (UAntwerp) agrees with the latter group: “I think this is complete nonsense,” says Van Damme. “It is possible that the axillary gland is somewhat swollen after a vaccination, but that will not immediately lead to an enlarged breast circumference.”

Also on the question of whether women should wait a while with a mammogram after a vaccination with the Pfizer vaccine, because the chance of a distorted picture is greater, the epidemiologist is formal: “Mammary glands are not involved in the immunological process, so this will have no influence on the mammographic breast examination.”
