Leon, Gto. Breast milk is the best vaccine against diseases for an early or adult age, as stated by Daniel Díaz Martínez, Secretary of Health of Guanajuato.
He urged parents not to fall for the marketing of the pharmaceutical industry and avoid feeding babies with powdered milk, since breast milk has all the benefits of a baby’s growth and development.

“Many myths have been broken, that if the child is allergic to the mother’s milk, that if he is intolerant to the mother’s milk (…) By God! If he is feeding from the mother where he was born, he will not be allergic to the child, ”he commented.
The secretary stated that the myths that breast milk is harmful to babies must be broken and the marketing offered by pharmaceutical companies must be fought against. And that struggle is reflected in the little advertising of breast milk.
Díaz Martínez assured that one of the theories he has is that if society had fed it for longer with breast milk, thousands of deaths from Covid-19 could have been avoided, since this milk has proteins and helps for the defenses of babies and children in their growth stage.
He added that 8 percent of children born in Guanajuato are premature. The average statistic is that 100,000 babies are born in Guanajuato each year, 8,000 of these are born prematurely and feed on the state’s milk bank.
