Throughout the month of October, in the city of Corrientes, a series of activities will be carried out as part of the Awareness Month for the fight against breast cancer. This is why, with the motto “Your steps add up”, the professional staff of the “José Ramón Vidal” Hospital and the Oncology and Hemato-Oncology Residence of that health institution, organize informative interviews and intra-hospital and community activities that will last for all October. They will take place in the aforementioned hospital, as well as in the different Caps and Saps of the city of Corrientes, and in the Juan de Vera square, located in the center of the capital.
Meanwhile, according to the official program, on Tuesday 11th there will be a talk at Vidal Hospital, at 9 am, where the topic of Comprehensive Care from the nursing point of view in cancer patients and the family environment will be addressed. While Wednesday, October 26, at 9, we will talk about “What we should know about breast cancer; tools for early diagnosis in the patients of the José Ramón Vidal hospital”.
Among other activities, on Wednesday 19 October, starting at 9 am, the stand of the Pink Month will be presented, with the slogan “Your steps add up”, there will be physical activity and the delivery of gifts to the Vidal Hospital.
While during the visit to the Caps and Saps, as scheduled, the informative talks will begin on Tuesday 11th at Caps n. 3 “Dr. Diego Tagliani”, in the Mil Viviendas district; Wednesday 12, at Caps Nº 4 in the Laguna Seca neighborhood; Friday 14 in Caps in the Dr. Montaña neighborhood; Monday 17 at Caps No. 15 in the Pirayuí Nuevo neighborhood; Tuesday 18, in Caps n. 18 in the neighborhood of Colombia Granaderos; Thursday 20 at Saps “Dr. Open “; Monday 24th at Caps Nº 9 in the 17th of August district; Tuesday 25th in Caps in the Itatí neighborhood; Wednesday 26th in Caps Nº 6 in the industrial district. In this context, again on 21 October, under the slogan “Your steps return”, activities will take place in the city’s Plaza Juan de Vera starting at 6:00 pm, with talks on the prevention and early diagnosis of breast cancer .

Pink October for free
In the month of raising awareness on the fight against breast cancer, the Municipality of Paso de los Libres through the Department for Women, Gender and Diversity invites the community to participate in the campaign by dressing the windows, balconies, houses, in color pink as a form of support and visibility.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared October Worldwide Breast Cancer Awareness Month, with the aim of increasing attention and support for early diagnosis and treatment of this disease. This type of cancer is the most common among women around the world
The activities are organized by professionals from the Vidal Hospital and the Oncological and Hemato-oncological Care Residence.
