With the aim of updating health professionals in the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer, in order to commemorate awareness about this type of cancer in November, the Dominican Academy of Medicine and Human Health of Grupo Humano will carry out the Update panel on detection, diagnosis and treatment in breast cancer.
The event will take place on Wednesday, October 27, at 7:30 pm, in virtual format, and is coordinated by DiarioSalud.
Dr. Ramón Pérez Martínez, president of the academy and who will moderate the panel, highlighted the entity’s commitment to updating the entire medical community in the country. He explained that not only doctors need to know about the early detection of this disease if not the entire population.
“At present, breast cancer is the most frequent in our country, and its treatment, if detected in advanced stages, is costly in terms of resources and in the loss of life. For this reason, this type of activity is important, because it provides education to potential patients and the medical class; A fundamental element for an early diagnosis and treatment and a better survival ”, stated Dr. Pérez Martínez.
