With these words, the accidental president of the Senate, Carolina Goic, accompanied congressional officials in the operation to carry out mammograms on one of the Minsal Assistance Networks mobile phones, within the framework of Breast Cancer awareness month.
On the occasion, the chief of the primary care division of the Undersecretary of Primary Care of the Ministry of Health, Adriana Tapia; the Secretary General of the Senate, Raúl Guzmán; the person in charge of Gender Equality of the corporation, Claudia Fuenzalida and officials.

For her part, Adriana Tapia, head of the primary care division of the Undersecretary of Primary Care of the Ministry of Health, congratulated this operation that is being carried out in Congress so that the women who work here can easily take this exam “.
He recalled that “breast cancer is one of the leading causes of death in women in Chile. It is clear, what you have to do is prevent and detect cancer or cancer advances, because this is a disease that can be treated if we detect it early and avoid death ”.
He also made a call “to the community, to companies, to everyone because it is going to be prevented if you have access to the test, which is free; even in the private sector there are programs where they can be done for free ”, he pointed out.
For his part, Secretary Raúl Guzmán stated that “health is a right and all institutions have the duty to grant the facilities and means to exercise it properly.”
