Breanna Stewart leaves Seattle to sign with the New York Liberty

Breanna Stewart has revolutionized the free agent market after recently committing to the New York Liberty after six seasons with the Seattle Storm where she was proclaimed a two-time ring winner and two-time Finals MVP.

Stewart returns to his native New York to try to give the Liberty the first ring in their history. She, but she will not be alone, since prior to her signing they closed the arrival of the MVP of 2021 Jonquel Jones. They also have the young promise Sabrina Ionescu, a Big Three Fearsome that will undoubtedly be the great rival for the other great team in the league: Las Vegas Ace, with Candace Parker and Alysha Clark as their main signings on the market.

Owner Joe Tsai’s commitment is total with the Liberty, and he hasn’t hesitated to scratch his checkbook to put the team led by Sandy Brondello in a position to reach the Finals, and try to add the first title in its history. It should be remembered that last year they finished in fourth place in the East with a 16-20 record, and lost in the first round against the Chicago Sky (1-2).
