One of the main suspects in the gruesome murder of the Belgian plumber Johan van der Heyden (56) has made a partial confession. This is reported by the Dutch regional Omroep Brabant.

The man says he dumped Van der Heyden’s body. Another main suspect says she allowed the Belgian plumber’s body to be burned in her yard.
According to the police and the public prosecutor ‘a large part’ of the body is still missing. The three main suspects sat together in court for the first time on Wednesday afternoon.

Concrete filled cockpit
Van der Heyden disappeared June 2 last year. In January, the police turned up a concrete-filled mortar tub containing the remains of the man. The spoil tank was located in the Scheldt-Rhine Canal near Nieuw-Vossemeer in the Dutch province of Brabant. The body was found to have been burned and sawn to pieces with a chainsaw.
The court asked questions about the body to Nicky S. Who answered every question from the court with the word “right to remain silent”. But for the first time, he publicly admitted that he was dealing with the victim’s disappearance. “I threw it into the water. That’s the only thing I’ve done. ”
When the judge asked where the rest of the body is, he had to fail to answer that.
On the barbecue
Suspect Edna V. from Steenbergen also broke through silence. She admitted that she had given ‘two to three’ pills to the victim. She told the judge what it was about. “Then they would take money from the rent.” V. emphasized that he knew nothing about murder or manslaughter. The court asked if she knew how the victim died. “No”, said the suspect. She looked at Nicky S. “You shouldn’t be with me, but you should be with Nicky.”
For three days the barbecue burned in the yard of Edna V. on the Westlandse Langeweg in Steenbergen. She knew about that, about that fire, she said. The remains of the Belgian would have been burned on the barbecue.
Wanda van R. was silent throughout the session. Her lawyer did not ask for release. Nicky S.’s lawyer did ask that, but it was rejected because the suspicion is too serious. For Edna V. the court decided that she can go home. The court thus seems to see her mainly as an accomplice of the kidnapping and not of murder or manslaughter.
The lawsuit will continue early next year. The three main suspects Wanda, Edna and Nicky have announced that they will make a statement in the coming months.
