Breakthrough! German scientists find cause of blood clots during vaccination with AstraZeneca

Researchers at the University of Greifswald in Germany studied samples from patients who developed blood clots after vaccination with AstraZeneca and explained why this reaction occurs. The vaccine turned out to activate a protective mechanism in the body of some people, as reported by the television company NDR.

After the ban on vaccination against AstraZeneca, the scientists contacted the Paul Ehrlich Institute (the German drug regulator). They received blood samples from six patients who developed blood clots.

Examination of the samples taken reveals that the vaccine activates blood cells – platelets. This mechanism is triggered when the wounds on the body heal, when the blood begins to clot and the wound closes.

However, in some patients, vaccination has been shown to trigger this mechanism. As a result, blood clots form in the brain.

The researchers note that the description of the mechanism now allows the development of a course of treatment. Doctors will be able to prescribe drugs that help against thrombosis.

Meanwhile, as a precautionary measure, the thrombosis drug cannot be administered, as the TV channel notes. Patients can be treated only after the formation of a blood clot.

There are medicines and they are 100% effective. They cannot be prescribed prophylactically, but only in case of complications. The treatment prevents the formation of a blood clot.
