BALIPORTALNEWS.COMDENPASAR – The Denpasar City Health Office through the South Denpasar Health Center III together with the Coordinator and Jumantik Cadres conducted active larva monitoring and epidemiological investigation (PE) in the Banjar Kawan area, Serangan on Saturday (21/1/2023).
Larvae Eradication and Epidemiological Investigation (PE) was carried out following up on reports of residents experiencing fever and being hospitalized in a hospital. Epidemiological investigation (PE) is carried out at a radius of 100m from the patient’s house.
This is done none other than to stop the development of mosquitoes that cause Dengue Fever, especially in the rainy season as it is today, which makes the breeding of DHF transmitting vectors experience a very rapid increase.
From the monitoring results, mosquito larvae were also found in several places, such as water storage tanks, flower pots, and gutters.
Head of UPTD Health Center III South Denpasar District Health Office, drg. Putu Judy Satyawati Sudarmo appealed to the public regarding the spread of the dengue virus.
“For the public to be aware of the spread of dengue fever which has been increasing lately, and to be active as an independent Jumantik by always maintaining cleanliness, doing 3M plus, closing water reservoirs so that no mosquito larvae breed, draining water reservoirs/bathtubs regularly. , preventing standing water around the house, and not hanging clothes for too long which have the potential to become mosquito breeding grounds,” he said.(bpn)
