Breaking: Serie A threatens to kick out Juventus

If you thought the blowback from the failed European Super League was done, well you thought wrong. In a breaking report, Italian Football Federation president Gabriele Gravina has threatened a complete removal from Serie A if Juventus does not fully and completely withdraw from the European Super League like the English clubs did the other week.

This is important for a few reasons. First of all, Juventus is still a European “super power” that is an experiencing a rare bad season sitting fifth in Serie A and fighting for their European life. Secondly, this is the biggest standoff to date between a major European federation and a team and frankly, Juventus might just consider it if they fail to make the Champions League next year.

So, there ultimately may be a few different ways this plays out but it is worth keeping an eye on as there are a few other squads that have yet to withdraw from the European Super League like Real Madrid and Barcelona.

Who knows, maybe FIFA was predicting the future with the renaming of Juventus:
