NEW YORK — Two New York City police officers were shot and wounded Tuesday afternoon in Brooklyn, sources with knowledge of the case told our sister network. NBC 4.
According to sources, the shooting occurred around 3:30 p.m. in Bergen Street in the Brownsville section when one uniformed officer was shot in the hand and the other in the leg or foot. Both were taken to Kings County Hospital and were out of danger, according to sources.
The suspect was also injured and is in custody.
The authorities ask to ecite the area of Bergen Street y Saratoga Avenue due to police activity. They ask drivers to take alternate routes.
