In July of last year, the court arrested two officials in charge of the heavy rain disaster in Choryang underpass in Dong-gu, Busan, and the court detained one and dismissed the other.
The Busan District Court Criminal 1 (Judge Cho Hyun-cheol) issued an arrest warrant for the Dong-gu Office official A, who requested by the Busan District Prosecutor’s Office on the same day, saying,’There is a concern about destruction of evidence.
The other person was dismissed because he was struggling for a considerable causal relationship between the work-related negligence and the results, and all evidence was already secured.
On July 23, last year, Mr. A and others were charged with a warrant for the loss of three lives by poorly managing the underground roadway display board and the surrounding drainage during a heavy rain on July 23 last year.
