NEW STATEMENT FROM MINISTER KOCA

Health Minister Fahrettin Koca made a written statement after the Scientific Committee meeting. The written statement of Health Minister Fahrettin Koca is as follows;

“The world has been struggling with the new type of coronavirus epidemic for 11 months. The epidemic continues to spread and die on a global scale. As of today, 55 million cases have been detected worldwide, there have been nearly 1 million 400 thousand casualties.

In this process, it was not possible for any country to stay immune from this virus. After the first wave in our country between March and May, we managed to control the number of cases. However, in recent months, we have witnessed a significant increase in the number of cases and deaths, with a similar course to the whole world. Many countries today have reapplied to restrictions on social movements, including closure measures.

Recently, we wish to bring continuous, all present an overall upward trend in Turkey. However, it is more serious in our country, especially in Istanbul. The increase in many of our provinces causes an increase in the pressure on our health institutions. We paid special attention to our provinces where the rate of increase in the Scientific Committee is high.
