Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD), the earthquake of which the epicenter was declared as Pütürge district of Malatya, occurred at the size of 4.1 at 05.08. The earthquake that occurred at a depth of 7 kilometers was partially felt in the surrounding provinces and districts besides Malatya. According to the first determinations, there was no loss of life and property in the earthquake that caused concern for a short time.
The Kandilli Observatory and Earthquake Research Institute announced the magnitude of the earthquake as 4.3, the epicenter as Kavaklıdere District of Pütürge district and its depth as 5 kilometers.
EXPLANATION FROM THE PUTURGE DIVISION
Pütürge District Governor Recep Aydın stated that there was no negative situation according to the first determinations in the 4.1 magnitude earthquake that occurred in the district.
Aydın, in his statement to the AA reporter, wished all the people of Malatya and the townspeople to pass.
Stating that they are in contact with the districts of their districts, Aydın said, “There is no negative situation that has come to us until now. Our research continues in our neighborhoods. We closely follow the developments. We want our citizens not to enter the buildings with serious damage.” said.
