Russian fighter jets shot down a helicopter of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the Vrba MANPAD at a distance of 5 km.
The military personnel were waiting for the Mi-8 military transport of the enemy, stuck in the ruins of the industrial zone, foreign agencies write.
“The air defense systems in the areas of 2 Mi-8 helicopters of the Ukrainian Air Force were shot down in the village of Temirovka in the Zaporozhye region and Dvurechnaya in the Kharkiv region,” the Russian Ministry of Defense said earlier.

Also on February 22, a Su-25 attack aircraft of the Air Force of Ukraine flying to attack Nova Kakhovka was shot down by a Verba MANPADS.
