Alfa Romeo will continue to work with the Sauber team in 2021. The brand has just announced this through its official channels. The Italian manufacturer will remain active in Formula 1 at least next season.
It is not a very big surprise, but until recently an official confirmation was not forthcoming. Alfa Romeo returned to the premier class in 2018 after more than thirty years of absence, by partnering with Sauber’s Formula 1 team. Both parties joined forces on a strategic, commercial and technological level, after which the team was renamed Alfa Romeo Sauber F1. Since last season, the formation is called Alfa Romeo Racing.

It is still unknown who will drive for the Swiss formation next season. Currently one has Kimi Raikkonnen and Antonio Giovinazzi, but Formula 2 driver Mick Schumacher is also regularly linked to the team. Alfa Romeo Racing has close ties with the team of Ferrari, as a result of which the Italian superpower regularly houses Ferrari juniors – such as Schumacher – with the formation of Frédéric Vasseur.
