According to a recent study, if you eat breakfast before 8:30 a.m., there is a big chance that it can reduce risk factors for type 2 diabetes. Thus, the current findings suggest that anyone who starts eating before 8:30 a.m. has lower blood sugar levels and less insulin resistance, and helps reduce their risk of developing type-2 diabetes.

“We found people who started eating in the morning had lower blood sugar levels and lower insulin resistance, regardless of whether they limited their food intake to less than 10 hours a day or their food intake,” said researcher Marriam Ali of Northwestern University in Chicago. as reported from Healthsite, Saturday (20/3).

The study reports clearly show that fasting blood sugar levels did not differ significantly between the meal interval groups. Insulin resistance was higher with shorter meal intervals, but lower in all groups with meal start times before 8:30 am.

Why can breakfast reduce the risk of diabetes? Insulin resistance occurs when the body does not respond properly to insulin produced by the pancreas and less glucose can enter cells. Anyone with insulin resistance may be at higher risk of developing type-2 diabetes. So with the discipline of breakfast, it can reduce that risk.
