The “Masă Caldă” program came with a surprise for the students of a school in Roșia Montană. Unfortunately, an unpleasant one, because the children found moldy bread on the menu.
The problem was reported even by the deputy mayor of the locality.
How the supplier defends itself
Vasile Morariu, the politician in question, states that the incident happened on Monday, March 6. He claims that he has already spoken to the supplier, a company from Abrud, but he defends himself by blaming the …producer.
“Mr NS, you were lucky and participated alone, and won the tender to bring warm food to the children. Three days after you started, you bring us the bread left over from Christmas. “Blooming” bread was found today. I know that I’ve had this happen to you personally before, it’s the second time, that’s why I made it public, because I see that it’s a habit with you. As a local authority representative, I cannot allow children to eat puffed bread. As long as you have committed yourself to a job, please respect it properly!”, wrote on Facebook Vasile Morariu, Roșia Montană deputy mayor.
The “Hot Meal” program for students was won, in Roșia Montană, by a commercial company that also manages a boarding house in the town of Abrud.
“As for the food they are giving out, taste it to see how it tastes! I’d rather put food in their backpack than go to the hospital with them. No offense, but it’s a joke, especially since it’s aimed at children” – a parent’s reaction to the deputy mayor’s post
In Monday’s menu, the students also received a schnitzel, in connection with which there were no problems, the deputy mayor of Roșia Montană wanted to specify.
