12 Students Poisoned with Suspected Expired Bread

Previously it was reported, 12 students at SDN Pengasinan 1 Depok were poisoned by promotional bread (samples) belonging to one of the brands. Upon investigation, some of the bread distributed to the students had expired.

The head of SDN Pengasinan 1 Yeti Suhesti said that the incident started when one of the managers brand bakery who contacted him for permission to distribute free sample bread to his students on Monday (23/1/2023). When distributed, according to Yeti, the homeroom teacher had asked students to check the expiration date of the bread directly.

“Party M is the field manager phone evening asked permission to distribute samples of promo bread. Then, the next day shared the bread is the same as the teacher, so each homeroom teacher share. Not shared, ‘Check it expired-nya’, can that’s it yes right, every shared checked,” said Yeti when met at Pengasinan 1 Elementary School, Thursday (26/1).

Then, Yeti received information that one of his students had vomited and had digestive problems after eating the sample bread. Yeti then checked and found a number of expired sample buns.

He said the students who were poisoned had entered school since Wednesday (25/1).
