bread and pastry delivered by La Poste

In the midst of a coronavirus epidemic, it’s called “having the right idea at the right time”. Present in Liège and in Theux near Verviers, a young artisan baker decided to deliver his gluten-free breads and pastries … by post!

The packages were posted yesterday, customers will receive them today. And success exceeds his expectations. “This week, in all, I made 200 breads, and 200 to 300 pastries”, explains Pierre Hennen, artisan-baker.

For the baker, the delivery of these goods by bpost poses no problem: “These are breads with a fairly thick crust because they are baked on stone. They are therefore really solid and resistant, there is no problem for La Poste”.

Today, Pierre Hennen is at the peak of his production. A success which, according to him, is clearly linked to the coronavirus epidemic: “Completely because I have customers who usually pick up at a drop-off point, and here they have asked for a withdrawal by post. Like this, people should not enter an establishment, potentially touching handles of door, and hang out with places with lots of people. “

Note that orders are made exclusively by internet.
