The 23-year-old from Real Madrid will be out of Tuesday’s game against arch-rivals at the Maracana due to a left thigh injury, Brazil’s association said. Vinicius Junior suffered the injury in the 1-2 (1-0) defeat in the World Cup qualifier in Colombia.
In addition to the winger, the Brazilians are missing the injured goalkeeper Ederson, defender Danilo, midfielder and captain Casemiro as well as superstar Neymar.
