Rio de Janeiro and Atafona, an area in the city of São João da Barra, in the north of Rio de Janeiro, appear on the list as Brazilian destinations that are expected to be affected by rising sea levels. The situation, according to the report, is caused by an increase in temperature, which causes the polar ice caps to melt.

The level of the Pacific Ocean is rising by 15 centimeters in 30 years and the UN issues a global warning

According to the UN, New Orleans, in the United States, appears as the destination most affected by rising sea levels. The sea could rise by up to 46 centimeters over the next 30 years as it is located below sea level in several areas, making the city more prone to flooding.
