Brazilian Team Arrival in Colombia for 2026 World Cup Qualifiers

The Brazilian team is already in Colombia. The delegation landed in Barranquilla at around 10pm (8pm local time) this Wednesday, after just under seven hours of charter flight departing from Rio de Janeiro.

The duel with the Colombians is scheduled for 9pm (Brasília time) at the Estadio Metropolitano Roberto Melendez in a match valid for the fifth round of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

Hours before the trip to Colombia, Fernando Diniz led the last training session at Granja Comary, in Teresópolis, aiming for the confrontation and made no secrets in the lineup. Brazil enters the field with Alisson, Emerson Royal, Marquinhos, Gabriel Magalhães and Renan Lodi; Andrew and Bruno Guimarães; Martinelli, Rodrygo, Vini Jr. and Raphinha.

In the final stages of recovery from a thigh muscle injury that has sidelined him since October 24th, Gabriel Jesus stayed at Granja Comary to work towards the duel with Argentina, on Tuesday, at Maracanã. The Arsenal striker participated in part of Wednesday’s activity with his teammates, but then moved on to individual work.

It will be Brazil’s fourth match in Barranquilla. In the last two qualifiers, under Tite’s command, the national team drew 1 x 1, in 2017, and 0 x 0, in 2021. The Seleção is trying to win again after failing on the FIFA date in October, with a draw at home with Venezuela and a defeat against Uruguay, in Montevideo. For November’s commitments, Diniz has important absences due to injury, such as goalkeeper Ederson, right-back Danilo, midfielder Casemiro and Neymar.
