Lula da Silva won the Brazilian presidential election, slightly beating outgoing president Jair Bolsonaro.
According to reports, supporters of da Silva started celebrating on the streets.
While Lula received 50.83% of the valid votes, 49.17% voted for Bolsonaro, according to the results of 99% of the counted votes.
Bolsonaro had questioned the electronic voting system. Lula da Silva’s team also said the police prevented some of his supporters from voting.
