It is currently unclear what is causing the pain, but Bolsonaro is receiving treatment for what may be intestinal perforation, the news website TV Globo reports on Monday.
Bolsonaro’s doctor, surgeon Antonio Luiz Macedo, is on his way to the hospital in São Paulo to examine the president, writes NTB.

Bolsonaro, a controversial right-wing populist, became president of Brazil in 2019.
During the election campaign in 2018, Bolsonaro was stabbed in the stomach by a left-wing activist. Since then, he has been hospitalized several times with stomach problems.
The 66-year-old Bolsonaro was admitted Monday night.

Bolsonaro flew last night to São Paulo’s errand to be hospitalized.
