BRASILIA, Brazil — Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro was being examined at a military hospital in the capital for a possible intestinal obstruction, a minister said Monday.
Institutional Security Minister General Augusto Heleno confirmed to The Associated Press that Mr. Bolsonaro had been taken to hospital in Brasilia.
The Brazilian president has had several hospital stays since being stabbed in the abdomen during a campaign event before the 2018 election. Mr Bolsonaro has had seven operations since becoming president in 2019.
Brazilian media reported that the president had been feeling unwell since lunchtime.
