Brazilian missionary is shot dead and his body is charred inside a car in Nairobi
The pastor disappeared on June 7, when he left his house to go to the supermarket.
A Brazilian missionary, identified as Francisco Antonio Chagas Barbosa, was found dead inside a charred car in Nairobi, Kenya, the country where he had lived since 2017.
“Two men grabbed him, put him inside the vehicle and at that moment he was executed,” commented his wife, also a missionary Franciane Barbosa, in a video posted on social media, in which she explained that the car was later set on fire.
The pastor, who was shot before burning the car, had been missing since June 7 when he left his home to go to the supermarket.
Seeing that he did not return and that his cell phone was turned off, his wife filed a complaint.
“He leaves a unique legacy in the missions. His work reached children, widows, people who struggled against hunger and thirst, “added the World Christian Mission, an organization for which the victim worked.
According to the organization, on the same day of the murder, witnesses saw Francisco’s car at 9:00 p.m. local time driving at high speed through Nairobi with a group of young people inside.
The charred car was found in the town of Mwihoko, in neighboring Kiambu county, with the body of Francis inside.
