F1 2022 Brazilian GP schedule (F1 Sao Paulo GP) and TV broadcast schedule. The Brazilian GP of the 21st round of the 2022 F1 World Championship will be held at the Interlagos circuit for 3 days from 11 November (Friday) to 13 November (Sunday) local time.
Last year, Interlagos extended its F1 contract for five years and changed the official name of the race from the Brazilian GP to the São Paulo F1 GP.
The “Autodromo José Carlos Pace”, also known as the Interlagos Circuit, is a counter-clockwise course with a series of long, smooth curves and tight curves.
For an F1 car running at high speed, the ups and downs are quite intense and severe and the driver needs to have a flexible car control capability that can respond to any situation.
The Brazilian F1 GP will take place for the third time this season in the “F1 Sprint” format. Free practice (60 minutes) with circuit driving will begin on Friday morning, followed by qualifying (Q1 / Q2 / Q3: F1 sprint grid determined) in the afternoon. After the second free practice (60 minutes) on Saturday, the F1 Sprint will take place in the form of a mini race of approximately 30 minutes with a distance of 100 km.
“F1 sprint” has few laps and pit stops are not mandatory, so it’s a full throttle race from start to finish. And the grid for the last race on Sunday will be determined by the order of this “F1 Sprint”. As always, the main event of the race weekend remains Sunday’s race.
In the 2021 season, points were awarded only to the top three, but in the 2022 season, points were awarded to the top eight, with 8 points for 1st place, 7 points for 2nd place and 6 points for 3rd place . 1 point will be awarded. Pole position honors will go to the driver who set the fastest lap in Friday’s qualifying, not the sprint winner.
The time difference between Brazil and Japan is -11 hours. The first free practice session of the F1 Brazilian GP will begin at 0:30 on Saturday 12 November (12:30 local time on the 11th).
