The Sao Paulo of Brazil continues to think about reinforcements to face the Copa Sudamericana and this Wednesday confirmed the arrival of the Brazilian ex-Tottenham winger, Lucas Mourawho arrives to accompany another of the team’s new signings, the Colombian James Rodríguez.
Moura will return to Sao Paulo after 11 years abroad by signing a short-term contract, until December, the date on which he will decide his future.
According to rumors, the attacker could leave the club by the end of 2023 and emigrate to the American MLS but everything will depend on both individual and collective performance at the end of the year.
Confirmation of his arrival was given with an emotional compilation video of his goals and assists when he played and debuted for Sao Paulo
“The time has come, I came home,” said the player in the video, who will be 31 years old on August 13.
In statements to Sao Paulo’s YouTube channel, the striker described his return as a “whirlwind of emotions” at a “very important and special moment” for him and his family.
With the signing of Lucas Moura and the Colombian James Rodríguez, Sao Paulo hopes to rebound in the league and leave the middle of the tablein addition to continuing to advance in the Copa Sudamericana in the key that they will face against San Lorenzo of Argentina.
Lucas Moura made his debut in 2010 with Sao Paulo, the team with which he won the 2012 Copa Sudamericana, before being transferred to Paris Saint Germain in 2013, where he remained until 2018 with a record of 46 goals in 229 games.
In the last five years, the forward defended Tottenham and with the London team he scored 38 goals in 217 games.
