Brazil will be the partner country of the Hannover Messe in 2026. The corresponding agreement with the Brazilian export promotion agency was signed on Monday in Wolfsburg, the organizer announced. Trade fair boss Jochen Köckler justified the choice by saying that Brazil plays an important role in renewable energies and digitalization. In addition, Germany is Brazil’s largest trading partner in Europe. “This combination makes Brazil an indispensable partner for Germany and Europe on the way to a sustainable and future-proof industry,” said Köckler. According to the spokesman for the Brazilian export agency, participation in the trade fair enables Brazilian companies to “highlight their competitive potential and make investments.” This year, around 130,000 people visited the Hannover Messe, the partner country was Norway. In 2025, the industrial show will take place from March 31 to April 4 – then Canada will be the partner country.
