“Against New Caledonia, we start 0-0 again. We have forgotten the defeat against Iran and are ready to look forward to victory. We will play our best game and focus for the 90 minutes of the match,” said Leal.
Leal denied that Brazil underestimated their opponent, who in the previous match fell to their knees and lost with a landslide score of 10-0 against England. According to him, New Caledonia remains an opponent that must be watched out for.
“After that defeat, they [Kaledonia Baru] maybe you can get up. “So we still have to be alert and still have full respect for our opponents and play without burden,” he said.
“We will try again tomorrow to get three points,” he said.
How his team will play and whether there will be rotation, Leal admitted that he could not reveal it. He will still see the final condition of the players in the morning before the match.
