Brazil: training of 200 brigade members in eight municipalities
Brasília – As the critical fire season approaches in the Pantanal ecoregion (Mato Grosso do Sul state, mid-west) and after record forest fires last year, the Brazilian Institute of Renewable Natural Resources (Ibama), the National Center for the Prevention and Fighting of Forest Fires and the NGO SOS Pantanal are training 200 brigade members in eight municipalities in the states of Mato Grosso and Mato Grosso do Sul.
