Thousands of people took to the streets across Brazil to protest the government’s handling of the pandemic, demanding the impeachment of President Jair Bolsonaro, more vaccines and more financial aid. The demonstrations, organized by trade unions and various leftist groups, took place in at least 13 provincial capitals, including Rio de Janeiro, Recife and Salvador.
