Brazil: Start of the Women’s Libertadores 2021

2019 Corinthians Women's Team

The Brazilian women’s clubs qualified for the Copa Libertadores make their debut this Friday in Argentina. These include Corinthians and Avaí / Kindermann.

Corinthians and Avaí / Kindermann start the Copa Libertadores 2021, as far as the women’s category is concerned. This is obviously the competition which brings together the women’s champion clubs from different countries. Corinthians has arrived in Argentina and will open the ball against El Nacional de l’Equateur. The match is scheduled for 5 p.m. On the other side, Avaí / Kindermann crosses the crampons with the Deportivo Trópico of Bolivia.

The champion club of Brazil in particular and holder of the women’s Copa Libertadores, Minas da Fiel is housed in group A alongside Universitário (Peru), América de Cali (Colombia) and El Nacional de Ecuador. Avaí / Kindermann meanwhile shares his hen with Boca Juniors (Argentina), Santiago Morning (Chile), and therefore Deportivo Trópico from Bolivia.

A total of 16 teams are divided into four groups and compete in a single match. At the end of the first round, the first two from each group qualify for the quarter-finals.
