May 30 (Reuters) – Brazil recorded 874 new deaths from COVID-19 on Sunday, bringing the total number of fatalities from the disease in the country to 461,931, the Health Ministry reported.
According to the portfolio, 43,520 new cases of coronavirus were also recorded, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 16,515,120.
Brazil has the second highest number of COVID-19 deaths in the world, second only to the United States, and the third highest count of confirmed cases, behind the United States and India.
