Brazil like Voltalia or Australia like Neoen?

In 2020 Voltalia produced 2272 GWh of wind power in Brazil, including 506 GWh on the Serra do mel cluster and the remainder 1765 GWh on the Amazonas, Carcaira 2 and Carnaubas clusters where Voltalia holds 317MW of the 450MW installed which it consolidates in its results.

Voltalia’s wind power sales in Brazil were 82.2 ME, or 36 E / MWh for 650 MW installed at the end of 2020.

In 2020 Neoen produced 816.5 GWh with wind power in Australia with 317 MW installed and sold 52.2 ME of current, i.e. 64 E / MWh.

Which was the right choice, that of Voltalia or in addition to lower long-term contract prices, the currency fell by 35% in 2020, reducing to 0.3% the IRR of the projects obtained whose construction has not been completed. not started or the parks in Australia or the MWh is sold 77% more expensive?

Of course, it is easier to obtain parks in Brazil since it is enough to accept the purchase price of the current during 20 years the lowest to obtain lots.

But isn’t selling the current at 64E / MWh better than selling the current at 16E / MWh which is the price of the 20-year contracts obtained by Voltalia in Brazil in 2018 and 2019, initially these contracts were at 24.6E / MWh but with the 35% drop in the currency they have become the lowest price contracts in the world.

Voltalia obtained 939MW from these wind farms without even telling the shareholder about it, it is as if Neoen obtained 458MW from wind farms in Australia without telling these shareholders.
