Brazil Dominates in 2026 World Cup Qualification Match Against Bolivia: Neymar-Rodrygo Brace Leads to a Convincing 5-1 Victory

Brazil started work in 2026 World Cup Qualification by achieving a convincing victory. Selecao won 5-1 over Bolivia.

Brazil faced Bolivia at the Estadio Mangueirao in their first match in the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers in the CONMEBOL zone, Saturday (9/9). The hosts appeared to be pressing from the start of the match.

Neymar almost scored a goal when the game had only been running for two minutes. However, his shot went narrowly wide.

In the 15th minute, Brazil was awarded a penalty. The referee pointed to the spot after Adrian Jusino handball.

Neymar wasted a golden opportunity with Raven converting the penalty into a goal. The shot was weak so it was easily saved by Guillermo Viscarra.

Selecao’s pressure finally resulted in a goal in the 24th minute. Rodrygo scored a goal after taking advantage of Raphinha’s thrown ball which was pushed over by Viscarra.

The 1-0 score for Brazil lasted until the end of the first half.

After the break, Brazil immediately kicked off. As a result, they were able to score a second goal in the 47th minute.

Raphinha stabs from the right side. He released a horizontal kick that Viscarra had no power to stop.

Six minutes later, Brazil scored the third goal. Rodrygo made a brace in this match.

Receiving a pass from Bruno Guimaraes, Rodrygo was free from guard. He calmly put the ball into the goal. Brazil took a 3-0 lead in the 53rd minute.

Brazil’s streak of goals continued in the 61st minute. Neymar finally got his name on the scoreboard after grabbing a wild ball in front of the goal.

Bolivia managed to reduce the deficit in the 87th minute through Victor Abrego’s action. Neymar then sealed Brazil’s victory with a goal in the final minute of the match. The Samba team won 5-1.

This result brings Brazil to the top with three points. Their points are the same as Uruguay, Argentina and Colombia but superior on goal difference. Bolivia is bottom with no points.
