MADRID, 2 Abr. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Former Brazilian president Jair Bolsonaro has assured that he is going to “shoot to kill” and that he will not allow himself to be arrested, as this possibility increases due to the case of his alleged participation in a coup plot to remain in office after the elections in October 2022.
Bolsonaro has used these terms in a recent conversation with a deputy from his party, the Liberal Party (PL), according to the Metrópoles news portal this Tuesday.
It is not the first time that the former Brazilian president has expressed himself in this way to refer to the possibility of a possible arrest, he already said something similar in August 2022, during a meeting at the Alvorada Palace and with polls placing President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva as favorite.
«I shoot to kill, no one takes me prisoner. “I prefer to die,” said Bolsonaro on that occasion when the possibility of a hypothetical arrest was raised within the framework of the various cases that he has open.
